About the Veg-A-Thon
What's Involved:
Decide: make the decision to go fully plant-based for 15 or 30 days
Register: complete the adult or student registration form
Prepare: get ready for your challenge by reading through our resources, meal planning, asking questions, and attending the kickoff ceremony on Sept 30th at 7:15 PM ET
Fundraise: crowdsource the registration fee (details below)
Veg Out! eat delicious plant-based meals
Learn: join VSA's Thursday night cooking lesson and community-building educational socials
Stay Connected: download GroupMe to stay connected throughout Veg-A-Thon
Share Updates: share weekly updates on social media and tag VSA
Celebrate: join us for the final session to celebrate your success
Dates: September 30 - October 30th
Schedule: Events will be held every Thursday through October 30th. See detailed schedule below.
Cost:
Students: $50 for 30-day challenge or $25 for 15-day challenge
Adults: $100 for 30-day challenge or $50 for 15-day challenge

VEG GLOSSARY
Vegan: a person who does not eat any food derived from animals and who does not use animals for fashion, entertainment, or experimentation
Vegetarian: a person who does not eat meat, but does consume other animal products such as eggs, dairy, and honey
Cruelty Free: manufactured or developed by methods that do not involve experimentation on animals (not necessarily vegan)
Gluten-Free: has nothing to do with being vegan, but you can be both vegan AND gluten-free (just ask Victoria)
Organic: produced or involving production without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents
Plant-Based: a diet consisting largely or solely of vegetables, grains, or other foods derived from plants, rather than animal products.
Nooch: nutritional yeast (very important for B12!)
Omnivore: an animal or person that eats food of both plant and animal origin
