FEEL LIKE THE ONLY VEG TEENAGER
You're not alone!
Veg Student Alliance is a FREE, online (for now!) club for veg and plant-forward teens between the ages of 13 and 18.
Our regular sessions are paused for the summer, but don't worry, we're still getting together! Starting the first week of July, our summer interns will be hosting informal gatherings, and YOU'RE INVITED!
Have you ever felt like the only one who understands that there is a connection between our DIET and the CLIMATE CRISIS?
Ever feel like you're shouting into the void or have to remain silent when your friends talk about injustice in the world?
You're not alone.
At VSA, we get you. During our meetings, we share our experiences, strength, wisdom, passion, and ideas for how to make the world a more compassionate place.
Don't underestimate your ability to change the world. You are a born change-maker.
You just need a place to let your leadership skills shine.
Join us! Drop in for one meeting or for an entire session!
We hear from guest presenters on all things food and activism-related. We cook new recipes. We talk, learn, share, and laugh.
And we would LOVE to have you join us.
Click "Join Us" above for the Zoom link.
The club is open to teenagers in the United States and Canada, for now, but we hope to expand in the future.
Make new friends and see what VSA is all about!
Many of the systemic issues inherent in our industrialized food system are strategically kept hidden from everyday consumers. At VSA, you'll learn about and educate others on food-related problems such as environmental racism, species extinction, climate change, worker rights violations, and health issues associated with the standard Western diet.
In today's world, compassionate, motivated, and articulate leaders are needed more than ever. On many fronts, your generation is taking the lead to move society forward. At VSA, you'll build your leadership skills and learn effective and compassionate methods of communication which will help you take initiative for a more compassionate and sustainable world.
At VSA, we believe in welcoming, supportive, and collaborative communities. While our main focus is on creating a support network of teen vegans and vegetarians, we believe in the power of allyship. So, we welcome teens who are interested in learning more about veg living to our meetings. Big change requires lots of hands and many people working together for a more equitable food system.
